Trek head north, following the Burigandaki. In the low country path surrounded by rice paddies and picturesque hamlets. After climbing briefly to Kyoropani, path descends once again to the river and our campsite at the confluence with the tributary of Soti Khola. It is not a long day, and perhaps we have time for a refreshing swim sometime during the day for it is hot in the low country.

Day 07 : Tatopani – Jagat (1410 m):

Day 10 : Deng – Ghap (2110 m):

We switch back steeply up to the small, poor village of Lana, where the women usually have their looms out. After climbing through lovely woods of pine and crossing a small bridge, we reach Bihi Phedi, where there is a good shop and views of Kutang Himal, and start to see mani stones (prayers etched onto wayside rocks, particularly mani stones with pictures of gods and goddesses), a sure sign that we are entering another of the tiny Tibetan footholds that mark the high Himalayan places. We have three or four hours of trekking ahead of us, twice crossing the large Bhudi Gandaki River and twice over smaller tributary streams, staying mostly high with many ascents and descents as we walk through the gorge, all the time enjoying spectacular views. Eventually we reach Ghap, where we set up camp for the night at the house of some wonderful villagers.

Day 15: Rest day in Samdo for acclimatization:

Another rest and acclimatization day in this wonderful spot below Manaslu, which towers above us. We recommend a hike up the valley directly in back of Samdo, heading towards one of their passes to Tibet, for amazing mountain panoramas. En route, we'll pass many lovely, slated herding settlements. The prayer flags strung up on a distant hill, sending messages out into the Himalaya make a good stopping point before returning to lively Samdo.

Day 16: Samdo – Larkya Rest House (4480 m):

Day 17: Larkya Rest House – Bimtang (3720 m):

Day 18: Bimtang – Gho (2560 m):

Day 19: Gho – Dharapani (1920 m):

Continue through fields, over a clear stream, past houses and  more fields interspersed with rhododendron and oak forests.

Day 20: Dharapani – Syange (1060m):

Below us is Bhimthang, a broad and level ablation valley with a number of mani walls and deserted houses. Crossing this high pasture, we descend the valley of the Burdin Khola to the area of the Base camp for the West Side of Manaslu. From a ridge at 4150m, we have excellent views of Manaslu to the SouthEast and Annapurna II to the Southwest. Rhododendron forests and follows a trail through a narrow valley until we reach the highest cultivated land in this valley at Karche, 2785 m.

Day 21: Syange – Bhulbule (840m):

We climb through terraced fields to the Karche La, and can see ahead a green and heavily forested valley, dropping down to the distant Marsyandi River. At thonje village is our final restricted area checkpost. Here we cross the Marsyandi River and join the main Annapurna Circuit, and the hoards of trekkers.
