Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu Airport & Transfer to Hotel:
Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel; here you will be formally introduced to your Guide and the activities to be enjoyed over the next few days. We will also ask for your passport photographs and any other details required for your trek permits, at this stage.
Day 02 : Full Day Guided Tour in Kathmandu Valley:
After breakfast, you will start an interesting tour around Kathmandu. We will arrange a guide of your chosen language to give you a tour and introduction to our rich culture amongst our ancient and fascinating history and religion. In our sightseeing tour you go to Swayambhunath (Monkey Tembple), Pashupatinath , Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar square.
Day 03 : Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1350m) and trek to Chisapani:
You will begin with a one hour drive on rough roads to Sundarijal from here you being your 3 to 4 hour trek to Chisopani climbing through forest to Mulkharka at 1800m which has some great views of Kathmandu valley. Walking further on you will find yourself entering the Shivpura Watershed and Wildlife reserve where you will continue climbing to Borlang Bhanjyang (2440m). The mountain views from the ridge are excellent as they are from Chisopani (2140m)
Day 04 : Chisopani to Kutumsang(2446m)
Dropping from Chisopani on a pretty good trail crossing meadows and fields you will arrive at Pathi Bhanjyang and continue on to Gul Bhanjyang, the beginning of your days climb to a pass at 2620m before dropping down to Kutumsang at 2470m, in a saddle on a ridge. Your journey today will be around 7 hours.
Day 05 : Kutumsand To Tharepati (3600m)
You will walk for around 3 hours today enjoying some great views. You climb on a poor trail to begin with mostly through forests past a few shepherds summer huts (Goths)
Day 06 : Tharepati To Melamchi Gaon(2640m)
You will climb to and cross the Tharepati Pass today taking 6 hours in total, from the top you will have great views. You then descend through forests with views into the Helambu valley inhabited by mainly Sherpa people, you may like to visit one of the charming Buddhist monasteries on the way through.
Day 07 : Melamchi Gaon to Tarekgyang(2743m)
The beginning of your trek takes you down to the Melamchi stream before gently climbing to Tareghyang another pretty little Sherpa village with the oldest and biggest monastery. The village is also known as Helambu after the people living here originally belonged to the Helmu caste. You will be walking for around 6 hours today.
Day 08 : Tarkeghyang to Shermanthang(2621m)
A 4 hour walk today and you will find the trail is relatively easy following flat ground and through beautiful forests. Shermanthang is another pretty village with ancient monasteries, from the northern end of the village you will see views of Jugal Himal.
Day 09 : Shermanthang to Melamchi Pul (846m)
You drop 1730m today over 2 hours, passing many chortens and meadows. Eventually you will reach Kakani, the last Sherpa village. You are now entering the lowlands where Brahmin and Cheetri are the dominant tribes. The trail descends from here to Melamchi Pul.
Day 10 : Melamchi pul to Kathmandu
Your journey today is fir six hours long . You will be taken to your hotel on arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 11 : Kathmandu free day of your own.
Enjoy a day exploring some of the quieter streets of Kathmandu, stocking up on souvenirs and presents for those back home. This evening you have a farewell dinner, you will be picked up in good time.
Day 12 : Final Departure.
You will be met at your hotel and taken to the airport in good time to meet your flight home.
